The month of November has been a special season of celebrating here at La Casa. After celebrating the completion of our first homes and moving to the farm, the celebrations did not end. We have had the awesome priviledge of watching three of our young adults graduate from high school. That probably seems like a normal accomplishment for our 18 and 19 year old young adults, but these celebrations are nothing less than seeing the hand of God upon their lives. Each one of them were the first in their families to ever graduate from high school. And the amazing story does not end there. Each of them have dreams for their futures and are already preparing for the next steps to further education. Each have risen to overcome the many obstacles life has thrown at them and have chosen to persevere, trusting that keeping the good fight would lead them to a different future, even when it did not feel like it.
Our three special graduates are Daniela, Oscar, and Jansen. Daniela begins an introductory course for univeristy this week. She will then begin classes in January, majoring in Psychology. Oscar begins his introductory courses at his chosen university this week where he will be majoring in Communications. Jansen is going to be using his awesome soccer skills to lead a soccer camp on the farm during his vacation time and begin chef school in January.
We are so proud of each of them. Please join us in celebrating this special time by praying for each of these young adults and the influence they will have on the next generation.
El mes de Noviembre ha sido una época del año de especial celebración para La Casa de mi Padre. Después de toda la alegría de tener nuestras primeras casas y mudarnos a La Finca, las celebraciones no han terminado. Hemos tenido el enorme privilegio de presenciar la graduación de tres de nuestros jóvenes adultos. Tal vez parezca algo normal para cualquier muchacho de 18 o 19 años, pero estas celebraciones no se comparan a ver la mano de Dios en la vida de cada uno de ellos. Han sido los primeros en sus familias en completar la educación formal, en graduarse del Bachillerato. Y esta maravillosa historia no termina aquí, cada uno tiene sueños de continuar con su formación y se están preparando para lograrlo. Cada uno de ellos se ha levantado a pesar de las circunstancias y de los obstáculos que han tenido que superar y han decidido perseverar, confiando y luchando la Buena batalla que los llevará a un futuro diferente, aunque en algunos momentos no lo puedan ver.
Nuestros bachilleres Daniela, Oscar y Jansen. Daniela comenzará esta semana un curso de inducción para ingreso a la Universidad. Comienza sus clases en Enero, en búsqueda de una licenciatura en Psicología. Oscar comienza su curso de inducción y ha optado por una licenciatura en Comunicaciones. Jansen estará compartiendo sus excelentes capacidades en el fútbol desarrollando un campamento de futbol de verano en La Finca durante las vacaciones y comenzará sus estudios de culinaria en Enero.
Estamos muy orgullosos de todos ellos. Celebremos juntos esta ocasión especial para estos chicos y la influencia de este logro para las futuras generaciones.
