When your birthday is nearing, what do you start thinking about? Where will I celebrate? Who will I ask to celebrate with me? What gift would I want to receive? Paisley, a young girl who was turning 7, had another idea for her birthday. She knew about the children at La Casa, and she and her family began writing and asking about
the children. Then, God placed it on her heart to ask for shoes for the children at La Casa rather than receive gifts for herself on her birthday. This was her only request to her friends and family: bring a pair of shoes for a child at La Casa, and they did.
Paisley lives in Missouri, so there was one inconvenience. How could she get the shoes she collected to El Salvador? A group from North Point Community Church out of Atlanta offered to bring down the shoes when they came in April. So, the shoes arrived; and our children were excited, not only for the gift, but also because of the story behind the gift.
Thank you Paisley for your sweet heart of giving to others and for everyone who helped make her wish a reality. Our children are proud owners of those special shoes sent with love!
Regalo de Amor
Cuando se acerca tu cumpleaños qué es lo que viene a tu mente? Dónde voy a celebrar? Con quién quiero celebrar? Qué me van a regalar? La pequeña Paisley tuvo una idea diferente para la celebración de su séptimo cumpleaños. Conoció acerca de los chicos
de La Casa y ella y su familia comenzaron a escribir y a preguntar por ellos. Dios puso en su corazón pedir como regalo especial de cumpleaños un par de zapatos para cada uno de los chicos en lugar de pedir regalos para ella. Ese era el único requisito para todos los invitados, llevar un par de zapatos para cada uno de los chicos de La Casa, y ellos lo hicieron!.
Paisley vive en Missouri, ese era un gran inconveniente. Cómo podría lograr hacer llegar los zapatos a los chicos en El Salvador? Un grupo de North Point Community Church que venían de Atlanta ofrecieron su ayuda con esto y traerlos en su viaje en Abril. Finalmente los zapatos llegaron a San Salvador y los chicos estaban muy felices no solamente por el regalo sino por la historia detrás de este regalo especial.
Gracias Paisley por tu hermoso corazón de dar a otros y gracias a todos los que de una u otra manera ayudaron a hacer este sueño una realidad. Nuestros chicos lucen orgullosos su par de zapatos enviados con amor!
