Vacation time is here. School begins the middle of January and usually goes through the first week of November here in El Salvador. Our children have anxiously
waited for this time of the year. Everyone is ready for a break of the hard work of daily homework, projects, and tests. For the staff at La Casa. vacation means trying to keep 27 children busy; this can be a challenge!
For the months of November and December, the staff has organized a calendar of various activities in the hopes of keeping everyone busy and using this time wisely. Among the activities planned, our children will be 
volunteering at a home for special needs individuals, receiving weekly horseback riding lessons, and gardening workshops on our farm. They will also be participating in free craft, computer, and cosmetology classes at a nearby park and swimming and track at a local recreational center. Hopefully, these activities will provide both physical and social opportunities for growth.
Our staff is also planning some special activities for the children. They will be holding a typical food fair afternoon, a soccer tournament, a Bible Bowl, and planning Christmas parties for the community around
the farm and for our families.
Praise the Lord for this journey of activities that is about to begin! Thank you for your continued prayers during our vacation time; may we stay energized for the days ahead.

¡Vacaciones!
¡Las vacaciones ya están aquí! En El Salvador, el año escolar comienza a mediados de enero y termina la primera semana de noviembre. Nuestros niños esperan la temporada de vacaciones con mucha ansiedad, ya que descansan del arduo trabajo y pueden olvidarse por un tiempo de las tareas escolares, proyectos y exámenes. Para el staff de La Casa las vacaciones significan tratar de mantener 27 niños ocupados y esto es u
n ¡verdadero reto!
En los meses de noviembre y diciembre, nuestro staff organiza un calendario con diferentes actividades para que los chicos puedan aprovechar positivamente su tiempo. Entre las actividades que hemos planificado, nuestros chicos apoyarán como voluntarios ayudando a niños con necesidades especiales de otros hogares, recibirán clases de equinoterapia y talleres de cultivos en nuestra finca. También participarán en clases gratuitas de arte, computación, cosmetología y de natación en un centro recreativo. Esperamos que estas actividades les den la oportunidad de hacer ejercicio físico, como también el espacio para poder reforzar la socialización. Áreas que consideramos necesarias para su mejor desarrollo.
Nuestro staff también está planificando otro tipo de actvidades especiales. Llevarán a cabo una tarde típica, torneos de fútbol, juegos bíblicos, fiestas navideñas para la comunidad aledaña a nuestra finca y para los familiares de nuestros niños.
¡Gracias al Señor por está jornada que está por comenzar! Gracias a ustedes por sus oraciones para que podamos mantener la energía necesaria en todas las actividades que están por venir.
