We’ve had a flurry of activity in our homes this past week. 14 adults with hearts of service flew down from Atlanta, GA. to visit our home and use their time, talents, and funds raised to love on our children, spruce up the girl’s home with lots of fresh paint and a new roof over the dining area, and purchase dining room tables for our two homes. They have entertained us with their magic tricks, tie dying T-shirts, decorating pillow cases, and playing lots of soccer. (One even brave enough to play soccer with a large boot on his sprained foot.) They have worked long hours painting, scraping, hanging a fan, and moving heavy tables into our home. These tables were made by local carpenters, all of solid wood…thus requiring the strength of six men to 
carry. They left us with dining areas that feel like “home”. We’ve seen the Incredible Hulk and Shrek personifications as they sprayed the small covered porch area green…and then ended up “green” themselves. We’ve enjoyed their company and conversations at lunchtime and during afternoon play. They’ve reached out to bless family members and our neighbors at the farm. Our tias and tios enjoyed a day away while the team took care of the kids after school on Friday. We’ve indeed been loved well this week! Invitados en Casa
La semana pasada tuvimos mucha actividad en nuestra casa. 14 extraordinarias personas con un corazón de servicio vinieron desde Atlanta, GA para visitarnos, invertir su tiempo, talentos y fondos para mostrar amor a los chicos, renovaron la casa de las niñas con pintura nueva, reemplazaron el techo del área del comedor y compraron mesas de comedor para nuestras dos casas. Se divirtieron con los niños con trucos de magia, pintura de camisetas, decoración de sobre fundas y como siempre mucho fútbol. (Uno de ellos tan valiente que se atrevió a jugar con una bota ortopédica por su esguince en el tobillo). Trabajaron por horas pintando, lijando, colgando el ventilador, moviendo muebles pesados. Las mesas fueron elaboradas por carpinteros locales, de madera pura, se requirió de seis hombres para poder cargarlas. Ahora 
nuestros comedores son acogedores, y los chicos se sienten “en casa”.
Pudimos ver las versiones de Hulk y Shrek en dos de los miembros del grupo después de pintar de verde con compresor el techo del kiosco… y ellos también terminaron verdes. Disfrutamos de su compañía, de largas charlas durante el almuerzo y en las tardes de juego. La bendición llegó hasta las familias y la comunidad de La Finca. Nuestros tíos y tías disfrutaron de un día libre mientras el grupo se encargó de los chicos después de sus clases del viernes. Esta semana ha sido maravillosa! Gracias Grupo de Adultos de North Point por abrir su corazón a nosotros esta semana!
