Are you a father? Then you know that children do not come with an instruction manual. You must be an example, understanding and caring; not only with our words, but also with your actions. You must lead day to day and instantly have a solution for problems as you also mediate conflict. One day your children love you and the next they do not even want to see you. There are always last minute homework assignments, projects, experiments, costumes, and activities. There are report cards to look at…sometimes good, sometimes not so good. There are cries for attention, late arrivals, long talks, frustrations, consequences, tears, laughter and anger. Fathers must teach their children boundaries, social skills, how to deal,with unmet expectations, and how to,find solutions to their problems. Now, multiply that by 13! We want to congratualte all fathers and especially our fathers at La Casa who have the patience to live out everyone of the above experiences with not only their own children, but each one in their La Casa family as well. It is not an easy job and nothing is perfect, but God is working In your life and the life of your child. You may feel hurt or frustration, but God has promised to be with you and to strengthen you. Rest in Him and He will be faithful.
“… but those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar
on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and
not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
No temas, yo estoy contigo
No temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no te desalientes, porque yo soy tu Dios. Te fortaleceré, ciertamente te ayudaré, sí, te sostendré con la diestra de mi justicia. Isaías 41:10
Eres padre? Entonces sabes que los hijos no vienen con manual de instrucciones, debes dar ejemplo, comprensión y cariño no solo con palabras sino con acciones, y día a día tienes que lidiar con que te piden solución instantánea a sus problemas, mediar conflictos, un día te aman y al otro no quieren verte, tareas a ultimo momento, proyectos, experimentos, disfraces, actividades, entregas de notas… buenas y no tan buenas, llamadas de atención, llegadas tarde, largas charlas, limitar la televisión, frustración, llantos, risas, enojos… Ahora, multiplícalo por 13!!! Queremos felicitar a cada papá en su día y especialmente a nuestros padres de La Casa quienes con paciencia viven día a día todas estas experiencias con cada uno de los chicos y como cualquier otro padre que ama a sus hijos les enseña límites, que aprendan normas, que toleren la frustración, enseñándoles que equivocarse es parte del aprendizaje, si existe un problema buscar soluciones. No es un trabajo fácil, no todo es perfecto a nuestros ojos pero Dios esta obrando, aunque sientas dolor en tu corazón o enojos; Dios ha prometido estar contigo y fortalecerte, descansa en El y El seguirá siendo fiel.
“…pero los que esperan a Jehová tendrán nuevas fuerzas;
levantarán alas como las águilas; correrán, y no se cansarán;
caminarán, y no se fatigarán.” Isaias 40:31
