God is faithful. Always. This summer, La Casa has been blessed by eight teams who have come to work alongside us in ministry. They have all been the hands and feet that have encouraged us, played with us, worked long days in the sun on our farm, and formed new friendships. That has made for a busy summer, but a summer of abundant blessings through rich relationships.
Faithbridge youth team out of Houston, TX has
been no exception. They have spent the past two weeks working in the hot sun, digging up the riding rink on our farm, and moving lots (LOTS) of dirt over to the new home being built. The riding rink has compounded with years of use, making the dirt almost like concrete, not good for the horses nor our kids who ride on a weekly basis. That has now been replaced with sand, and the dirt has been used to build up the land around the new home. Pick axes, shovels, wheelbarrows, tampers, trucks, and lots of energy and muscles where a common part of each day. Determination kept them going.
It was a blessing to have this much energy for a week, but the real blessing came through relationships. This team poured love upon the community around the farm by visiting a local school and helping them celebrate the day before Augustine vacations with games and crafts, all the while brightly shining God’s love. They also spent the afternoon visiting families in the community and distributing much needed staple
food items. Just the price of beans alone has tripled this summer and the price of corn has doubled, a common staple in El Salvador, so it has been a blessing the families in the community around our farm to receive surprise visits bringing encouragement in the form of basic food items.
This team also poured love into the kids at la Casa as they planned activities for vacation days off from school. The 3rd, 5th, and 6th of August are holidays in El Salvador. Schools are closed and the beaches, lakes, and fairs are extremely crowded places. Some of children went home for family visits, and this team took our children who did not visit with family bowling and out to eat pizza. On
Monday and Tuesday, the kids played sports and had devotionals each day with the team and ended their time together on Wednesday with a special field day and cook out. Chatter, laughing, relay games, trying coconut milk, and serious soccer playing were all abundant.

Dios es fiel. Siempre. Este verano, La Casa ha sido bendecida por ocho grupos que han venido a trabajar junto a nosotros en el ministerio. Todos ellos han sido las manos y los pies que nos han animado, han jugado con nosotros, han trabajado largas jornadas bajo el sol en nuestra finca, y han formado nuevas amistades. Eso ha hecho que sea un verano muy ocupado, pero un verano de abundantes bendiciones a través de relaciones valiosas.
Faithbridge, el grupo de jóvenes de Houston, TX no ha sido la excepción. Han pasado las últimas dos semanas trabajando bajo el ardiente sol, excavando la pista de equitación en la finca, y moviendo lotes (CANTIDADES ENORMES) de desecho a la zona donde se está construyendo la nueva casa. La pista se había deteriorado con los años de uso haciendo que la suciedad se compactara a tal grado que parecía concreto lo que no es bueno ni para los caballos ni para los niños que asisten a terapia regularmente. Esto ahora ha sido sustituido por arena y la suciedad se ha utilizado para formar la base alrededor de la casa nueva. Recoger hachas, palas, carretillas, piochas, camiones, y un montón de energía y músculos, formaron una parte común de cada día. La determinación los mantenía animados.
Fue una bendición tener esta cantidad de energía durante una semana, pero la verdadera bendición vino a través de las relaciones. Este equipo vertió su amor a la comunidad alrededor de La Finca al visitar una escuela local y ayudar a celebrar el día antes de las vacaciones agostinas con juegos y manualidades, todo el tiempo compartiendo el amor de Dios. También pasaron la tarde visitando a las familias en la comunidad y distribuyendo alimentos básicos muy necesarios. Sólo el precio de 
los frijoles se ha triplicado y el precio del maíz se ha duplicado este verano, un elemento de la canasta básica en El Salvador, por lo que ha sido una bendición a las familias en la comunidad alrededor de nuestra finca recibir visitas sorpresa trayendo ánimo en forma de alimentos básicos.
Este equipo también compartió amor a los niños en la Casa mientras planeaban actividades para los días de vacaciones del colegio. El 3, 5 y 6 de Agosto son las vacaciones en El Salvador. Los colegios están cerrados y las playas, lagos, y las ferias son lugares muy concurridos. Algunos de los niños fueron a casa para las visitas familiares, y este grupo llevó a nuestros chicos que no salieron a visita a jugar boliche y a comer pizza. El lunes y el martes, los niños jugaron con el grupo y tuvieron
devocionales cada día y terminaron su tiempo juntos el miércoles con un día de campo especial. Charlas, risas, juegos, agua de coco, y partidos de fútbol abundaron.
